Green Boom Celebrates National Public Lands Day
ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 25, 2020) – Green Boom, which produces a line of eco-friendly absorbent products for oil spills, is excited to celebrate the 26th Annual National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 26. Established in 1994, and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest, single-day volunteer event where thousands of volunteers help restore and improve public lands.
“The team at Green Boom is excited to celebrate National Public Lands Day and give back to our community,” said Green Boom Co-Founder Sudhir Sharma. “As a company that focuses on biodegradability, we place great importance upon taking the utmost care of the environment and encourage everyone to find ways to connect with nature on this special day - and every day.”
Green Boom recently introduced a number of biodegradable, water repellent oil-only absorbents that work for oil spill prevention, response, and remediation. The company is dedicated to producing a variety of products that can be used in marine, land and industrial environments to clean up oil spills and ensure a greener future.
Available in industry-standard sized pillows, socks, booms along with custom sizes, Green Boom’s products are made from patent-pending biomass up-cycling technologies that use sustainably sourced agricultural wastes and textiles. Green Boom’s team created a technology that converts renewable, biodegradable and low-value agricultural materials into water-repellent, oil-only absorbents.
