In October 2022 Green Boom joined the Spill Control Association of America. The organization, with members all over the United States, works to promote all interest groups within the spill response industry. This includes taking a proactive advocacy role with governmental entities, workforce development initiatives and management practices in health and safety programs.
Lawrence Malizzi of Ramboll, a board member of SCAA and our mentor, expresses that “I’d say the biggest benefit for Green Boom is introductions and the building of relationships with the cleanup contractors and others who buy boom.” The membership creates a great platform for sharing of information and we at Green Boom are excited for the new forum to strengthen our position in the market. Mr Malizzi continues by saying that “The benefit to SCAA is that Green Boom exposes the membership to the latest in cutting edge and renewable technology.”
Every year, SCAA holds a meeting for all members, which this year is in Jacksonville, FL in the beginning of April. Green Boom is glad to for the first time be a part of the annual meeting, to develop our connections with leaders within the industry and to learn more about the practices and ongoing conversations with governmental authorities..
